Technocom contributes to the success of schools

Opened in 2001 at Lake Norman Baptist Church, Community School of Davidson has grown to become a North Carolina Charter School, providing education to children in Kindergarten up to 9th grade. Community School of Davidson believes “that every student can and will succeed in ways that reflect his or her own aptitudes and interests.” The school uses the principles of The Basic School, a comprehensive plan that strives to incorporate research proven practices in education.

When approached by Technocom, the school was under contract with another technology company and Kevin Green, the school’s Assistant Director, felt that they were trapped by an unfair business deal. They were also not happy with the level of service they were receiving. Technocom was able to release the school from its contract and provide

updated equipment, and a plan for growth with the school, based on the school’s current needs and future plans. Technocom was able to provide the school with the modern technology it needed to empower its teachers and motivate its students, trim expenses and stay within the confines of its state-allocated education budget. This savings has since helped the school to stay on track with its plan for growth, and the school will continue adding a grade level until 2012, when the school will include a full high school up to grade 12.

Technocom continues to partner with Community School of Davidson and assists in an annual fundraiser, donating equipment for an auction benefitting the school. Technocom is proud to play a part in the success and growth of present and future students at the school.
